Spotter
Box Elder County has an opening for a Spotter. This position is for 30 hours per week and will require working all Saturdays the landfill is open (1st, 3rd, and 5th Saturdays) . The Spotter works under the direction of the County Landfill Director and works at the Landfill directing traffic, picking up litter, performing maintenance, operating small equipment, and communicating with the patrons of the landfill.
Current specific duties would include but are not limited to identifying and properly handling hazardous wastes not accepted at the landfill as well as separating recyclable wastes. The spotter will direct traffic to ensure safety of the patrons and the operators at the landfill. The spotter will oversee unloading of special wastewater by Proctor and Gamble and will be trained to perform minor office duties to record and document these loads. The spotter will need basic computer skills which can be learned on the job. Applicants must be able to lift up to 25 pounds and will be working outside in all weather conditions.

Salary: $17.45 hour
