Victim Services

Box Elder County Victim Services consists of two full-time advocates for District Court cases and one part-time advocate for Juvenile Court cases.  These advocates work to assist victims through the criminal court process. A primary role is to ensure that victims have an opportunity to be heard at all stages of prosecution and that their rights are fully protected.  Victim advocates ensure that victims are kept informed, are prepared to testify at various hearings when necessary, remain free from harassment, and are treated respectfully throughout the process.  Victim advocates can also help with obtaining restitution for victims.
